11 Years of Inspira: Honoring the Stories We've Helped Bring to Life
/Eleven years ago, what began as a spark of inspiration became the foundation for something truly meaningful: a boutique publishing company rooted in heart, craft, and purpose. This month, we celebrate the 11th anniversary of Inspira Literary Solutions. I am so filled with immense gratitude—for the journey, the growth, and most of all, the incredible authors who have trusted us with their stories, messages, curricular resources, marketing efforts, and more.
From our cozy creative hub in beautiful Gig Harbor, Washington, we’ve built more than a business—we’ve built a community of support for authors that circles the globe. Our authors have come to us from across the United States and Canada, the UK and Europe, Australia and Southeast Asia. What started as a one-person dream has grown into a robust and passionate team: four editors, four graphic designers, and two marketing specialists—each one dedicated to the art and heart of self-publishing.
Together, we’ve had the honor of collaborating on nearly 200 books across genres, styles, and missions. And every single one has held a unique message, a distinct voice, and a ripple effect we’re proud to have helped send out into the world.
What Inspires Us
At Inspira, we believe books are more than just pages bound together—they are legacies, movements, and messages that matter. We’ve had the privilege of working with teachers and leaders, memoirists and novelists, poets and professionals, visionaries and overcomers, dreamers and doers. Each project is an act of bravery and creativity, and it’s our joy to walk alongside our clients through every step of the self-publishing process—from the first draft to the final print and beyond.
Whether we’re deep in developmental editing, polishing prose, designing a striking cover, or crafting a book launch strategy, our mission has always been the same: to amplify our authors’ voices and help them share their messages with excellence and authenticity.
Reflecting on the Journey
Over the past eleven years, we’ve grown not only in size but in depth. Our services have evolved, our workflows refined, and our impact expanded. And at the heart of it all? Relationships. The personal connection we build with our authors is the soul of our work.
We’ve cried over powerful manuscripts, cheered for clients hitting milestone sales markers, and celebrated accomplishments—from holding that very first proof copy to seeing books stocked in bookstores or landing speaking engagements. These moments are why we do what we do.
Looking Ahead
As we step into our 12th year, we are more energized than ever. We’re expanding our reach, embracing new tools and technologies, growing our marketing services, and continuing to raise the bar in everything we offer.
We’re also dreaming bigger: new workshops, more resources for aspiring authors, and deeper collaboration opportunities with creatives across the publishing spectrum. The world needs truth, encouragement, and inspiration now more than ever, and we’re here to help make that happen.
