Arlyn Lawrence - Founder, President, and Senior Editor

Arlyn Lawrence is a developmental editor, writer, speaker, and founder and president of Inspira Literary Solutions. She has been the editor and co-author of numerous books and curricular resources published and distributed around the world in North America, Europe, Africa, and Asia—some of which have been Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestsellers. A former freelance writer and magazine columnist and editor, Arlyn confesses to having been a book nerd and grammar nut her whole life. She is grateful to be in a career where she can exercise her passion, meet inspiring people, and help authors turn some pretty amazing books out into the world! She lives on an island in the Puget Sound in beautiful Washington State with her husband and two dogs, now that her five children are all grown and flown.

Krista Ostrander - Project and Operations Manager

Krista is a graduate of Pacific Lutheran University’s School of Business with a concentration in Finance, and brings years of office administration, contract auditing, and volunteer experience to her position as Inspira’s Project and Operations Manager. Reading a great novel or biography, snow skiing, hiking, getting out on the water, and traveling with friends and family are the joys of her life. Krista lives in Gig Harbor, Washington with her husband and a VERY laid-back cat. Their three kids are grown now and pursuing their own adventures.

 

Kerry Wade - Editor

Kerry has a bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing and a masters in Library Science, which means she loves both imagination and organization—the perfect combination for a novel editor and project administrator! Kerry has worked as a high school English teacher, a librarian, and as a novel editor and administrative editor for Inspira. She loves seeing stories come to life, and helping people cross the bridge from wanting to write a book to becoming a writer. Other things Kerry loves include big cups of tea, cozy bookstores, and a good curry.

Tim Lawrence - Editor

Tim is a graduate of Washington State University with a BA Degree in Political Science. A voracious reader, budding author, and accidental editor, he enjoys the world of words and ideas, and contributing his skills to bring them to life. Tim loves the outdoors, traveling, and craft beer, and is especially happy when he can incorporate all those life elements at the same time. He and his wife live in Central California with their infant son, their beloved rescue dog, Penny, and affectionate cat, Eloise.

 

Chelsea Greenwood - Editor

Chelsea is an editor and writer who is also one of Inspira’s authors! (Leave it All). She loves supporting authors as they craft effective, clear messages, and finds catching typos “yummy.” She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and studied classics and world religions at Vassar College, where she deepened her appreciation for language and the many ways people use it to articulate what they care about. Chelsea’s literary life is informed by her eclectic background: she has experience in theater, food service, music, foreign missions, teaching, and even pickle-farming! She spends her free time exploring, and lives in Seattle with a cat named Benry.

 


Kirstyn Ricker - Marketing Specialist

Kirstyn is a marketing and communications professional with over a decade of diverse experience. She has created effective content and campaigns for dozens of brands, including Fortune 500 corporations and beloved local institutions. In addition to her corporate experience, Kirstyn has been a successful freelance copywriter throughout her career. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Pacific Lutheran University. When she’s not spending time with her beautiful family, you might find her relaxing (and caffeinating) at her local coffee shop or refinishing her latest mid-century furniture find.

Brianna Showalter - Graphic Designer

Brianna has been working in the world of art and design her entire career, and says the fact she gets paid for it is just icing on the cake! She integrates multiple roles as an artist, including graphic design, painting, and teaching. Besides art, she loves being with her family, gardening, reading and adventuring outdoors. She lives in a remodeled, classic 1925 Craftsman in the Pacific Northwest with her husband and two children.

Lisa Pence - Graphic Designer

Lisa Pence is an award-winning graphic designer with 20 years experience in the industry, specializing in the areas of periodical design, branding, and marketing design. Lisa believes that powerful design solutions should be within reach and especially loves working alongside non-profits and small businesses. Lisa holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design with a minor in Advertising from Iowa State University. When not designing, Lisa spends much of her time outdoors exploring the Pacific Northwest. She regularly enjoys other activities such as distance running, hiking, and cycling. When wanting to unwind, she prefers journaling, listening to music or a podcast, and snuggling up with her shih-tzu, Tzuki.
